About the role:

We’re currently looking for an experienced Garage Equipment Installation Engineer to support clients nationwide as the business demands.

The role includes visiting our customers’ premises throughout the UK and working with all types of vehicle workshop equipment including the installation, testing, commissioning and servicing of 2 and 4-post vehicle lifts, pipework and compressed air and lubrication systems, Dura Workshop Furniture, MOT bays, brake testers, and other associated equipment.

You will have experience and an engineering qualification, excellent communication skills and be self-motivated, working well individually or as part of a team.

Salary is negotiable based on experience. The position may involve nights away from home to meet the demands of our customers.

About the role:

You’ll be based in the London or South East of England, serving clients across the region and further afield in the UK as business demands.

The role includes visiting our customers’ premises principally in Greater London and Southern England, and undertaking the pre-planned maintenance and repair of all vehicle workshop equipment, which may include vehicle lifts, brake testers, MOT bays, tyre and wheel equipment and related ancillary equipment.

You will have experience in this particular field. You will have excellent communication skills and be PC literate. A company vehicle, laptop, mobile etc will be provided.

About the role:

We’re recruiting an experienced Calibration and Lifting Equipment Inspection Engineer to support our growing Calibration and Service department.

You’ll be based in the Midlands, serving clients across the region and further afield in the UK as business demands.

The role includes visiting our customers’ premises principally in the Midlands region and undertaking the pre-planned calibration of small tools, loose lifting equipment and other measuring devices. Although primarily serving the automotive sector, your role will extend to other sectors where small tool calibration is regularly undertaken.

You will also undertake the inspection, testing, servicing and maintenance of lifting and garage equipment, including vehicle lifts, lorry-mounted lifting equipment and other associated garage equipment (trolley jacks, axle stands, chain slings etc). Both light-duty and heavy-duty equipment will be examined.

You will have an engineering qualification and experience in electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic equipment.

You will have excellent communication skills and be PC literate. A company vehicle, mobile etc will be provided.

  • An engineering qualification is essential.
  • Experience in the calibration of small tools and loose lifting equipment, and in the servicing and maintenance of vehicle lifting equipment and associated garage equipment, is essential.
  • Experience and qualifications in LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) examination works on vehicle mounted and vehicle workshop lifting equipment would be ideal.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in calibration and vehicle lifting engineering in the vehicle workshop/garage equipment industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of, and the ability to, calibrate all types of small tools, loose lifting equipment, other workshop and wider sector measuring equipment and devices.
  • Thorough knowledge of, and the ability to service, repair and maintain, all types of vehicle lifts together with ancillary garage equipment.
  • Proven experience in LOLER Examinations, preferably in the vehicle workshop industry.
  • GEA accreditation (or equivalent) beneficial.
  • LEEA qualifications (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association).
